We respect your privacy and will only keep your details while necessary.

 

When you email us from our website or send us a direct email we'll only keep your details for contact purposes.

If you join our club we'll ask you at least once a year to check the details we have for you and update anything that's changed.  We keep the following details carefully, securely and in a confidential manner while you're a member:

Personal: name, address, date of birth, email address, telephone number/s provided, name and contact details of parent/guardian/carer if you are under 18

Medical:  We'll also keep any information you've provided on basic medical conditions for emergency purposes only

Training related records:  Class attendance, your grade/belt level in karate, the date/s you took any karate examinations with us, and your grading exam details

 

We will not use this personal information for any purpose other than administering your membership of our club, including notifying you of JKA events, examinations, lesson attendance / cancellations.  We will not sell or share your information to a third party.

 

We will always keep you informed of any changes to our procedures regarding the data we hold. • You may ask us at any time for a copy of the data we hold by written request and we will provide this within 30 days of the date of the request. If the data we hold is inaccurate, you have the right to ask us to correct this information.  If you leave the club and you'd like us to delete any information we have on you please contact us in writing and we'll do this within 30 days of receiving your request. We won't use or share your data with anyone other than JKA England if necessary.

 

We use cookies on our website as session cookies where required and we may use google analytics to better understand our web profile, how easy it is to find our club using search engines and the footprint we make on the web.  We also use social media as a club, through Facebook marketing and have our own Facebook page and a Whatsapp group for members and parent/guardians/carers to communicate about club related matters and information relating to class changes and events. We would love for all members to join our groups and like our pages but there is no obligation to do so.

 

We will review our GDPR policy at least every year.  If you have any questions about these policies or anything related but not detailed here, please contact us.
